How to manage day as a searcher

Alright… I did it… I made the decision to leave my job and give myself 1 year to find an acquisition. I’m trying to plan my day because I think success in this world comes down to discipline. Anyone have a daily/weekly routine they would like to share? For instance, email 8-11, call 12-3, and stuff envelopes for snail mail from 4-7, and networking events in the evening?

would be great to know what created results for others.

From experience, you may need to consider giving yourself more time. It took me 4-6 months just to understand how to look for deals and define what I wanted.

You'll have to experiment to find your own rhythm and what works for you based on how you like to work. But also schedule personal time to get your brain off of the search. E.G.- if you mountain bike, make sure you schedule time for that. You're going to run into a LOT of brick walls... face first... you'll need the time to get your brain off of the "failure" s you can regroup and run at the next brick wall.

One piece of advice I would give any new searcher is to give yourself more time. You mention that you are going to give yourself one year to find a deal. I feel like it took me about 6months to figure out my rhythm. Then actually sourcing a deal that you may want to close can take time. I think you should give yourself at least two years to close a deal. Of course, your situation could be different, but I've heard most searcher taking 2-3 years to source and close a deal. Good luck!
