How to overcome the challenges of investing in search funds?

What are the biggest problems faced by people who would like to invest in search funds?
I have met many people who want to invest in search funds but are unable to find a diversified deal flow, thus end up committing a significant portion of their capital to too few deals.
This is exactly what my professor said talking about search funds; luckily for me, I'm currently working in a holding company whose aim is to enable investors to diversify their portfolios by presenting them with many opportunities (leaving, unlike a fund, the ultimate investment decision to them), opportunities that a single private investor would not be able to reach otehrwise.
