I am seeking conversations with investors who back international searchers, to discuss a search fund I am building in West Africa.
I am French and Beninese, IESE MBA 2026, with ten years in finance: six years in listed manufacturing companies in France, most recently finance manager of a EUR 120 million division, two years as head of finance of a startup in Abidjan, and one year as an M&A analyst at a service company in France. During the MBA, I worked in the Chief Investment Officer's Office of a pan-African multilateral development bank. I also mentor the owners of two logistics companies, in South Africa and Nigeria.
Since moving back to West Africa in June 2026, I have worked on the search daily: meeting banks, institutions and advisers, and building a target list from national tax and statistics registers.
The search targets one profitable light manufacturing or service-led industrial distribution company in Benin and Côte d'Ivoire first, then Senegal and Togo, all four members of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). There, the currency is fixed to the euro (since 1999), and only 3 of 37 regional funds reach this enterprise value.
The search budget is below the international solo median (IESE, International Search Fundsredactedand funds a 24-month search. My teaser is available on request; the private placement memorandum and specific financial details follow an initial discussion.
If you are open to a brief conversation, please reply to this post or send a direct message. I am also available for a 30-minute call before or after the IESE International Search Fund Conference in Barcelona (15 to 16 October) via this link: redacted
Best regards
