Hi everyone - I am currently an independent searcher deep in the sourcing phase. I have been spending my time scraping lead lists, evaluating broker deals, and digging through CIMs. While I am committed to the search process, the current deal flow I am seeing in the market has been largely underwhelming. Rather than forcing a deal on a mediocre asset just to get a transaction done, I am open to the possibility of a "Searcher in Residence" or Head of Operations setup with the right team or company. I am looking for a middle ground where I can apply my operating background to provide massive leverage to a principal or fund while gaining exposure to owner level strategic decisions. I would rather be an integral part of a high quality platform than go it alone on a sub-par deal. For those interested in how this model works, Acquiring Minds has a great breakdown in this episode: https://acquiringminds.co/articles/matt-brunnig-kevin-peer-octal-ventures. My Background: My professional roots are in business operations and strategy at high growth companies. I specialize in turning messy or ambiguous environments into simple and repeatable systems. I have led strategic planning, built internal workflows from scratch, and am focused on using AI and automation to streamline service delivery. What I am looking for: -The Role: A "Searcher in Residence" or Head of Operations role where I can own day to day execution while having a seat at the table for owner level strategy, growth, and value creation. -The Setup: I am open to various structures and am looking for a partner or platform where I can add immediate value. -Location: Remote preferred, but I am also open to the Tampa or South Florida areas. If you are an SMB owner or looking for an operator with an owner’s mindset to help scale your current business, I would love to connect. Best TJ

Tampa is full of SMB buyers from PE firms to indy sponsors to searchers. Doubt you'd need to move to get good experience.
