This is probably a bit short notice for all investors here but as part of our consulting work, we have been working with the owner of a healthcare company in Europe. The owner just called this morning and dropped the price dramatically if we would be able to agree a deal before YE.

We could agree the deal now with deferred payment after the Holidays, but we can only do so if we are sure to have the money.

Two options available:

(a) Outright purchase for EUR 3.5-4m (and use part of the proceeds to repay a EUR 2.5m loan); or (b) Purchase for EUR 1 -1.5m and roll-over the lending facility (subject to lender approval)

The above price is well below an external party’s valuation for the property alone – now we’d pretty much get the operating business for free.

We’d also like to add an additional 1m as a cash buffer.
