I recently reached out to an investor, and we were able to schedule a meeting for tomorrow. I’d love to hear any advice on how to approach it effectively. I’m hoping to explore two potential paths: An investment into my platform/holding company, or A deal-by-deal partnership structure. For those of you who’ve been in similar conversations: What information should I have prepared going in? What kind of questions should I expect from the investor? What’s the best way to build rapport and establish credibility quickly? Open to any suggestions, tips, or even things to avoid. Appreciate this community and the wisdom shared here!

Hi Clemente, I'd be happy to chat about prepping to talk with investors. The investors that are interested in a holding company are probably going to be different than deal-by-deal so how you prep will vary. At a high level when preparing to talk with investors, you will want a very clear investment thesis, showing progress or traction and illustrating strong communication and organizational skills. DM me to jump into the details.
