I am looking for some feedback on possibly selling my trucking transportation business to a foreign investor.
The business has underperformed this year in comparison to last year but the investor is interested in my seasoned and clean Motor Carrier Number. Does anyone have any experience selling a trucking company primarily for the credentials and not necessarily for the balance sheet?

As long as the international buyer does not desire conventional US BASED financing, this should not be hard. An international buyer with local sources of funding and remaining funds from the seller in the form of a note could be an option. We recently sold a shipping /logistics company to a local buyer after an international prospect failed to show proof of down payment to the seller.

Thanks for the tag Luke. We have an advisory practice called Bluejay Advisors (https://bluejay-advisors.com/) that exclusively sells trucking companies and have worked on small deals up to $250M+. Shoot me an email at redacted
