Intern — Deal Sourcing and Acquisition Muqran Capital | Remote Fall 2026 | Unpaid, academic credit supported Muqran Capital is a self-funded search vehicle led by Mohamed "Mo" Abdalla, an independent buyer working to acquire and personally operate one exceptional small-to-mid-sized business, with a long-term vision toward building a portfolio of essential businesses. Mo is an MIT alum with a background spanning infrastructure investment, business development, and operations leadership. This is not a corporate internship. You will work directly with the founder on live deal flow. Work spans the sourcing side of the acquisition lifecycle — from building target lists and executing outreach to tracking pipeline and supporting first-pass research and screening on live opportunities. The exposure is real, and the work is immediately relevant on a resume aimed at private equity, entrepreneurship, or finance. What you'll work on: • Proprietary deal sourcing and target company research across target markets • Outbound outreach to business owners — email, phone, and LinkedIn • Building and maintaining our live deal pipeline tracker • First-pass research and screening on companies entering the pipeline • Organizing and reviewing inbound broker materials (CIMs, teasers) • Testing and refining outreach messaging based on response data Who I'm looking for: • Undergraduate studying finance, economics, or business • Genuine interest in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, independent sponsorship, small business, or entrepreneurship • Strong written communicator, comfortable representing the firm directly to business owners • Comfortable with spreadsheets and picking up new tools quickly • Reliable and self-directed — someone who wants to do real work, not log hours What you'll get: • Direct mentorship from an MIT alum with hands-on experience in financial modeling, negotiation, and deal execution • Hands-on exposure to a live, proprietary acquisition search — from sourcing through pipeline management • A concrete, resume-ready record of deal sourcing experience • Academic credit supported — I will work with your institution on required documentation • Strong reference upon completion Timeline: • Notification by August 20 • Start date: August 24 To apply, send your resume and a short note on your interest to redacted
