Hi everyone. Is there a guide to prep for the interview process for a search fund? I would like to prepare for all of the hiring process (technical and fit question, industry trend, industry obstacles, etc).

I currently work with the valuation and business modeling team at EY in Mexico City and in September I'll be starting my MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Thanks in advance!

In comparison to doing interview prep to get your first job in finance or consulting out of undergrad, I would say interviewing for something in the search world is far less about "industry" or "acquisition vehicle" knowledge, but rather much more telling your story as to why you have relevant experience, why you want to do search, and (high level) what specifically interests you and why. When I got my first job working for a search platform, it was my (basic) experience combined with my genuine interest and the story I was able to tell that I believe got me over the finish line. Good luck!

Hi, ^redacted‌: The only info I've seen on this topic is here: https://www.searchfunder.com/post/prepping-for-pe-internship-interview-without-much-of-a-finance-background. I hope others will add comments to assist. ~ Karen
