Curious to hear from others: Do you find that closing the books monthly doesn’t provide enough visibility for tracking KPIs mid-month? While monthly close works for larger companies, in my experience, my small businesses often need more frequent insights to make tactical decisions in real time.

You're spot on. For small businesses, waiting until month-end to get KPI clarity can slow down decisions that need to happen now. Weekly or even biweekly check-ins (using categorized bank feeds and key reconciled accounts) help spot red flags early, especially when things like payroll or ad spend fluctuate.

You'll need to implement real time tracking, automated bookkeeping, lot of these small companies barely use QuickBooks.
