I'm looking for a few examples of the introductory one pagers other searchers have used to help with introductions to investors and business owners. If anyone is willing to share I would appreciate it.

People - the one size fits all just does not work - investors are as diverse and specialized as the investments that they see - To raise money these days, you need to do a lot of home work first and determine a) what type of investor you need, i,e., crowdfunding/anyone, accredited, angel groups, family office, venture cap, private equity, BD, etc.... b) what type of financing you want, debt, mon/maj equity, convertible, bridge, unitranche, acquisition, leverage, etc...c) what valuation can you support, and what's the check size you need... that's a start, once you narrow down your search based on above criteria, then you craft the letter based on your own company's (investment) attributes, i.e., people involved, market targeted, innovations/differentiators, money already in and required and organizational structure.... all of the above goes into crafting this one pager and its not just some formula unless of course you use ChatGPT : )

A few things I've learned about one-pagers, for what it's worth to you:

- If you are searching opportunistically across sectors/structures, I would suggest having multiple versions of your one-pager. For example, we have one for a roll-up sector-specific strategy and another for our broad search.
- If your main audience will be business owners, keep your message straight to the point and portray a sense of grassroots pride in operating their business. I find this resonates better than the typical PE message.
- 'entrepreneurial investment firm' has a better response than 'search fund' when it comes to business owners
