The Role We're hiring an Investing Associate to join our small, entrepreneurial team in Charlotte. You'll get deal reps across industries, see what happens inside a business after close, and learn from people who have built and run companies. You'll also help shape how a modern investment firm works. We expect you to use AI to do in a day what used to take a week, and to show us what's possible. What You'll Do Source, evaluate and underwrite investments in closely held businesses, using AI to cover more ground in sourcing and get to conviction faster. Build financial models and analyses that turn messy data into clear insights and simple stories. Run diligence from the ground up: talk with owners, customers, competitors and industry experts, and use AI to synthesize what you learn and pressure-test the thesis. Support our partner companies after we invest, on operating priorities, strategic projects and M&A. Build and improve the AI workflows and tools behind our investing process, and help our partner companies do the same. AI is your default for research, analysis and getting work done, and you can point to specific things you've built or workflows you've changed. Fluent in financial modeling, P&Ls and balance sheets.
