Hi Tyrone, From the equity standpoint - it depends on where you stand in the process and how much info you have, though I’d say more is better. Certainly having a call to discuss your background and the specific opportunity is a must. If you’re at the stage where you’ve put together a deck, then that would be great to see, though if you’re not there yet then just a teaser about the business (including your thesis) plus the sellside CIM would suffice. In terms of investor proof of funds - I don’t think most investors would provide that at such an early stage unless it is from an investor running a dedicated fund, in which case they can disclose their AUM. For investors deploying their own capital, I don’t think anyone would provide proof of funds, though they could always indicate prior deals in which they have invested. I doubt most brokers would ask for more than this.
