Hi all, I had an interesting introduction a couple weeks ago to a business that closed shortly after COVID. Owners are looking to sell the domain, a premium (4 letter word) domain, exact match to their brand, and has been appraised in the mid-six figures. They are willing to include the business assets in the sale. (customer lists, social profiles, website, wholesale customers, designs) Are there investors out there who would invest in something like this, where it's essentially a start-up but backed by an asset (domain)? I have no idea what terms would look like in a situation like this as I have primarily been looking for a cash-flowing business, but this is a unique opportunity and fits directly with my background and professional experience. Appreciate any guidance!

This is essentially an asset sale - private market comps are likely your best guide regarding valuation. Your "edge" in domain expertise is valuable to you but likely a hard sell to prospective investors.
