While working through a few ETA efforts recently, I’ve noticed what feels like a potential gap. Technology, particularly AI, is evolving at a pace that’s honestly hard to keep up with. There are millions of tools, new workflows emerging every few weeks, and real operational implications for small and mid-sized businesses. For those of you actively searching or already operating: Would you consider bringing on a dedicated technology partner as part of your ownership team, potentially on a fractional equity basis, whose sole focus is: • Evaluating and selecting the right tools • Coordinating implementation • Building practical AI workflows • Ensuring the business stays current without constant distraction Not a consultant. Not a one-time vendor. But an aligned ownership-level partner responsible for tech strategy and execution. Curious how this community thinks about that. Is this unnecessary complexity, or an inevitable role in modern acquisitions? Would love your candid thoughts.
