Is it inappropriate to use the same LLC name as the seller?
As long as they're registered in different states - or since I'm using bank financing will that be too confusing? Thanks in advance for the input!

You will need rights in the name, either through the acquisition or through some other means, or it might be considered trademark infringement. We can assist legally, and ^redacted is right that you could use an entity with a different name to start as it is easy to change the name later. I would use a different name for liability reasons. I’ve seen banks freeze the assets because of the name thinking it was the same company, so I wouldn’t suggest it.
