Is there anyone with a European MBA who has moved to the US to start a search fund?

I am a recent MBA graduate from a UK business school and I am looking to raise a search fund within the next###-###-#### months, preferably in North America.

My understanding is that search funds are better understood by investors and business owners in the US than they are in Europe. Furthermore, there seem to be more businesses in the US that meet the very specific search fund acquisition criteria which increases the odds of success.

The first challenge is of course to understand what visa an entrepreneur needs and how easy it is to obtain one in order to operate a search fund.

Is there anyone you know who studied and worked in Europe and post MBA set up a search fund in the US? It would be great to understand the process and the visa requirements.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me understand the process and if you could share your experience.

Thank you for your help!

I have an INSEAD MBA (France/Singapore) and started a Search Fund in an Emerging Market (Brazil). Would also be interesting to get in touch with anyone else who has a similar background! (Developed Country start a SF in an Emerging Market)
