Is this a service people would pay for?

Hi - this is my first post. I am a 3x exited founder (all in consumer). I've invested in a variety of SMBs and am now backing owner/operators in the commercial cleaning space (and "cleaning adjacent") with my new 'micro private equity' - www.ncc.vc

I have 14 M&A deals under my belt for my own businesses or as an investor/advisor to founder along with 9 SBA transactions.

Recently, a colleague hired me as his co-pilot to get his first biz acquisition done.

I priced it at $30k - $15k upfront and $15k on success (as equity or cash). This seemed fair for a $1.5M acquisition and I was taking risk on the success fee.

We are a couple weeks from closing but it got me wondering - is this a service other search funders or business acquirers would pay for?

Between Linkedin "pick my brain" requests and other folks asking for my help in getting their deal closed, I wanted to ask this community.

The value prop to the owner is that (1) I will save you thousands on attorneys (2) I will get a deal closed fast (3) I have a playbook of deal structures (4) I have half a dozen lenders and other service providers (5) I have real world experience getting deals closed.

I'm not a banker or broker, but instead the acquirer's co-pilot.

So - throwing it out there for discussion.

-Matt
