Know about independent sponsor searchers? Where to find more to invest in?

I see a good amount of deals via Searchfunder from regular self-funded searchers (though always happy to see more when under LOI) but only a few from 'independent sponsor' self-funded searchers.

The few I've met have been very high-quality, with different but decent terms for investors (they take more carried interest & fees, but less equity).

Anyone been to the Independent Sponsor conference (McGuire Woods)? Is this SMB/LMM-focused or just for larger deals, family offices and 500k+ checks?

Anyone know of an email list of independent sponsors? Axial has a directory but super slow-going contacting them, and seems to be the more established firms focused on larger deals ($25m+) rather than the new, young and hungry 1-2 individuals creating their first and smaller platforms that I particularly like.
