Lawyer to navigate liquidity event

A close friend and potential partner sold part of his start up for stock several years ago. Now the acquirer is selling and he is facing a potential liquidity event. He would like a lawyer to speak to about this to understand any contracts related to the sale he might sign. Anyone know good firms for this?

Hi Neil -- it will really depend on what he already signed. Often, rollover sellers have little leverage in these 'second bite at the apple' transactions but it depends on the existing contracts (and whether there are any protections in the drag). I don't practice these days but happy to get on a call then steer him to someone. This is generally not too complicated....
