After interviewing over 100 mentors and gurus on buying and selling businesses, I wanted to try something new. So, I created a deep fake interview using A.I. and it's one of the most information-packed ones I've done.

Watch this for a refresher on how to buy an Small to Medium business. We cover - Why buy vs. build, a project plan for acquisition with steps, they get details on each step. Including negotiations with a dive into Chris Voss's "Never Split the Difference" book, details about different parts of due diligence, etc ... We end with book recommendations and a summary of those books.

Note: 100% of the answers are from ChatGPT. I didn't edit them at all. Only the ads and my standard music intro are real. EVERY part of the interview is A.I. even my voice. (I trained a bot to deep fake me).

Worth a listen, I promise: https://www.how2exit.com/the-death-of-mentors-and-gurus-how2exit-interviews-chatgpt-to-learn-about-ma-and-how-to-buy-a-business/

I wonder who else detected the fatal flaw in “Botswellah‘s” swell presentation? Meanwhile, back at my virtual office###-###-#### the good news is, I’m probably not out of a job. Unless the bots can provide hankies and other kinds of support to people (everyone) struggling to buy businesses. As just about everybody knows, the facts play a role among buyers and sellers, but what’s more important are the interactions among people (did I mention brokers?), their relationships, the playing of ideas and strategies against one another, how to be in the moment during negotiations. More good news for advisors like me: We may not have to invest time teaching fundamentals if people can get the information they need from a bot. On the other hand, the unknown unknowns can trap people who naïvely follow bots. Let’s stay tuned to see how Botswellah helps the penny pinching do-it-yourselfers, many of whom are the people who suffer the most from buyer remorse. Or searcher remorse: They can’t make any kind of deal, even a lousy one. Exciting times!

Another example of beware of who /what you believe. I’ve, too, been playing with AI.
