Length of Ownership

What is minimum time period one should own a business prior to selling? This assumes you grew the business, added profitable services lines, improved operations, optimized system integrations, expanding the multiple and made the business marketable to a potential buyer. I know this is multi-factorial, but I'd at least like to get a general sense. Thanks.

There is no minimum time per se, but how long will it realistically take to make changes and for a buyer to be confident it isn't just a fluke for a few months.

Personally for me, I would want to see at least 12 months of solid growth to feel it is permanent and sustainable throughout the year and not seasonal?
