Let's start a 2023 lead generation stack post!

We know that lead generation is a crucial aspect of any search fund's success. But with so many lead generation platforms and tech stacks available, it can be overwhelming to choose the right one.

Are you using LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find potential targets, or do you prefer industry-specific databases like PitchBook or CB Insights? Maybe you're using a mix of different platforms to get the best results. We're curious to hear about your experiences with these platforms and what you think are the pros and cons of each.

And what about your tech stack? Do you use a CRM like Salesforce or HubSpot to manage your leads, or are you using more specialized tools like LeadIQ or Lusha to gather contact information? What about Zoominfo, or Leadfuze? Let's open up and share what other tools or software you're using to streamline your lead generation process.

Interesting post ^redacted‌, I provide these lead generation services to some searchers and have been working on it for various businesses for the past 9 years.

Finding businesses:

LinkedIn Sales Navigator would prove to be good for well-structured businesses,
However, Google search would be required for local businesses.

Finding key contact person:

This is a simple one and mostly people can be found on their website or LinkedIn, or through a simple google search to find businesses in local directories.

Finding email address:

Using email-format.com, hunter and some google search to find the email pattern, and neverbounce to verify the email.
For local businesses you would mostly find emails on their facebook pages.

Once you load them all can shoot email campaigns either one by one or through mail merge or through using ton of software.

When there is no big dealflow you can use spreadsheet only to track the deals and what's going on in them.

If the dealflow is compartively higher than using a simple CRM would do the work for you.

I hope this helps. It would be great to see other responses as well, what others are using.

In the meantime, if you know someone who needs support with their search process, can connect them with me at redacted and I would be happy to help them. :)

Our experience with HubSpot CRM was not so efficient as it has many more funcionalities for our stage of Search making the process and interaction with leads/databease, cumbersome.
