Life after search

Hey ya'll,

I've been curious about something. I've been trying to find information on the internet on exit opportunities after search funds, but the only thing that Google returns is details of how to sell your company, not the career path of the acquiring entrepreneur. I know search is a nascent field so there probably aren't many people in the world who are at this stage, but what projects or careers do these entrepreneurs take on after growing and selling off a company acquired via search fund?

Interesting question. If you search this forum, you might see quite a few blogs or posts by successful searcher talking about their journey. Not sure if there is formal survey reports. Based on my knowledge, some become serial acquisition entrepreneur or move on to form and lead holdCo company. But mine is limited to self funded searchers. Hard to think they would exist out of this game completely.

Agreed with comments above. From personal experience after I exited I became a Venture Partner at a VC firm and advise other startups. But now launching another startup. My gut says most everyone stays in the game in some way or at some level.
