Hello all, just signed an LOI with the seller for a business and we’re very excited. The seller wants to meet this weekend for our first in-person meet and greet, however, we’re out of town. Would we be starting things off on the wrong foot if we pushed it for next weekend?

Congrats on get an LOI signed. As others have stated, it is perfectly understandable to push the meeting back if you're out of town. Build trust with the seller through clear and honest communication.

Congratulations! I am an intermediary, typically representing the seller. I would not see it as a red flag, particularly if you schedule a specific time for the following weekend. I would also suggest making sure you are communicating other next steps - due diligence list, maybe a rough timeline of activities to get to close - essentially to reinforce that you are excited and committed to the deal. Good luck!
