I'm looking for someone who is serious about purchasing multiple companies and realizes that it takes a team of like-minded individuals with a shared vision, motivation and drive to succeed. I've got experience with operating, leading a team, acquisitions and mergers but realize there is still so much I don't know. So many success stories have a strong partnership behind them. Think Apple, Microsoft, Google. I tend to be stronger on the operational side of things and where some of my gaps are currently is on the deal making side. I'm based just 90 minutes outside of Boston but am open to talking to anyone who is on the path of multiple acquisitions and realizes that by teaming up with other growth minded individuals, they can accomplish more in less time and often with less risk. Good post - the partnership instinct is right, even if the structure doesn't always have to be a formal co-founder. A lot of successful HoldCo builders in the LMM space have found that what they actually needed wasn't a single partner but a support structure - deal validation, operator networks, fractional expertise at the right moments - that let them move faster and take on more without needing someone else's equity in the room. You mentioned being stronger on the operational side. That's actually the harder skill to find in this space. The dealmaking side can be built around you.
