Hello! We are looking at acquiring a local tree services company, and we are trying to find comps for purchase price multiples. If anyone has a resource or has acquired or sold a similar company, any advice would be very helpful!

Hi Josh. I own/operate a tree care business in the Chicago area (my POV is specific to the midwest). A reasonable rule of thumb on multiples is 3x-6x SDE for companies <$10m rev. IMHO: Size, asset intensity, competitive intensity, quality of the people, recurring nature of the work, and the role of the owner/operator are the biggest factors influencing where it should fall in that range.

Hi ^redacted‌ - My friend has been an Arborist for a long time here in the Portland, Oregon area. He is an on-the-ball, savvy fellow and has even done some consulting in this arena. If desired, I could look into connecting you with him. Message me here or email me at redacted Thanks - Jon
