I'm new to the SF world. I am looking for a good industry analysis template that one typically uses to evaluate companies. I need help on two fronts:

1. Elements that are covered for a comprehensive analysis
2. Reliable industry reports providers

Appreciate any help, thanks.

1. I've seen some funds characterize their analysis into 6 buckets: Market Position, Industry, Cash Flows, Operations, Staff, and Exit Opportunities. Depending on the sectors you are covering, you will obviously customize the sub-categories and create your own weighting. A good place to start would be AJ Wasserstein's Yale repository as there are direct examples of this.
