Looking for ideas to bridge a $200K Funding Gap in an All-Cash Acquisition (Other Than Seller Financing)
My business partner and I have an executed LOI to acquire an industrial services business with PP of $800K, and SDE: ~$500K. Our original plan was to finance the acquisition with an SBA loan. However, due to the recent SBA citizenship eligibility changes affecting our investor group, that option is no longer available. Rather than walk away, we've decided to capitalize the deal ourselves. Between the two of us, we've committed $600K through various sources, leaving a $200K funding gap. While we have additional assets we could tap if necessary, we'd prefer to avoid over-leveraging ourselves if there are better alternatives. Before we go back to the seller and ask for additional financing, I wanted to ask the Searchfunder community: - Have you seen creative ways to bridge the final ~$200K? - Are there lenders or investors willing to fund a relatively small gap like this? - Any recommendations for non-SBA financing sources or structures? - If you were in our position, what would you do? I'd greatly appreciate any advice, introductions, or lessons learned from those who've navigated similar situations. Thanks in advance!
