Hi Everyone, I'm shifting my search strategy from being country-focused and industry-agnostic to targeting suppliers in the Oil & Gas sector, with a focus on software and services businesses. At the same time, I'm expanding my geographic scope to include the US, UK, and EU. I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations you can share, especially regarding: - Contacts of trusted brokers or those you've worked with (preferably focused on businesses supplying to Oil & Gas) - Useful tools or databases for direct sourcing (e.g., SourceScrub or similar) - Recommendations on CRMs that have worked well for deal tracking and outreach Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Kirill, If you're looking for private company data, tools like SourceScrub and Grata are both solid choices, it mostly comes down to your budget and how deep you want to go. For outreach and getting contact info, Apollo is a strong option. We’ve also seen searchers get pretty creative using Clay or Surf, combined with light scraping, to build super targeted lists quickly. For deal trackingg ( talking about CRM’s here), Affinity is a popular pick, especially if relationship intelligence is important to you and it fits your budget. If you want something lighter, both the free version of HubSpot and Streak (great if you live in Gmail) are excellent. They’re flexible enough to help keep broker convos, outreach, and CIMs all in one place. If you really want to gain an edge and supercharge your setup, AI can help a lot with discovery, and even give predictive insights to help you find the best targets. You can also automate things like data entry, outreach personalization, and parts of your workflow. While some dedicated AI tools are popping up, a lot of CRMs are starting to bake this stuff in too. If you’ve got more specific needs, it’s worth looking into custom data aggregation layers or using scripts to pull those niche leads that are harder to find. Hope this gives you a helpful starting point, Kirill! Let me know if you want to dig deeper into any of this, happy to help as this is what we do daily at Dealfounders.

Hi Kirill, Trying to solve the same problem, but more focused for NL. The approach for sourcing deals I am trying is by scraping KvK data and extracting meaningful businesses from there with certain set of pre filters applied with a bunch of scripts. Landed at this approach after realizing that websites like bedrijventekoopm, marktlink etc have deals that are too ready. I am assuming this approach can be extended towards other regions as well. I will be happy to hear your thoughts on this.
