Hello Searchfunder folks!,

I am looking to see if there are any options that I haven't heard of for a new cloud-based ERP software for a small manufacturing company. We are currently looking to transition out of Quickbooks and considering using something like Sage 100 to manage all of our processes.
I am not certain of other good cloud options that I am not considering. Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you!

Hi ^redacted‌. Great to meet you. I have been involved in ERP implementation work for several years with my particular go-to being Sage Intacct. Funny part is that I am not a particular fan of Sage as I got into the business trying to get a client implemented into anything other than Sage X3. But I found Intacct before Sage bought them and I have had a healthy relationship with them ever since. Both NetSuite and SAPOne have given me night sweats and I have canceled multiple implementations for each. Products are good, but I'm not a fan of their implementation processes and have seen poor results. I think others have already said this in the thread - depends on what you need. I would suggest one thing: design your process first and make them come to you. Happy to explain more on a call/Zoom if you would like. Happy to help.

Try Trello. It's free and highly customizable to your work flow. I've been using it for a makeshift ERP for 8 years, with great adoption by employees.

Making my own. Plan to Freemium sell it out. After 8 years, I still haven't found something for sale that I want to commit to for low volume, custom job management.

Quickbooks Online I believe is worth sticking with for most small businesses. I'm getting ready to move two off of Sage.

A good ERP should integrate with QBO, not attempt to replace it IMO.

Or just use spreadsheets as long as possible... The wrong ERP implementation can bust small businesses.
