Hello, I am thinking of starting a self-funded search and am looking for fellow searchers that would be open to talking to me about their experiences. My background is in operations and technology, but I do not come from an investment background. Areas I am interested in discussing are: - What steps such as creating a Pitch Deck, PMM, did you do to help focus yourself even though you weren't raising funded and were these steps helpful - How self-funders approached finding people to act like an advisory board in the event that they didn't have experienced search-fund investors to rely upon - How self-funders typically demonstrate financial capacity to sellers - If a self-funded searcher ended up with a deal they didn't have financial capacity for, were you able to raise capital and how did you structure the deal, since it removed much of the search cost risks. I'd welcome anyone who is open to chatting. Thanks!

Happy to chat. Shoot me a DM here. I bought and exited a business as a self funded searcher. In my experience, if you have a good deal, finding the money to do the deal is fairly easy. The tricky part is finding that good deal.
