Anyone actively sourcing in NJ? I’m running a self-funded search looking to acquire a business with $750K+ EBITDA in New Jersey. I haven’t paid for Axial or Grata yet. Axial looks free upfront but curious if it’s actually worth the time. Where are you spending most of your sourcing hours? BizBuySell, broker outreach, scraping, cold email, something else? Also interested in connecting if you’re sourcing in the tri-state. Want to compare notes and avoid wasting time in the wrong channels.

I recently started exploring business acquisition opportunities and submitted several inquiries thru bizbuysell and loopnet in NJ market. However, I haven’t received any responses to date, which makes me question whether the listings are active or simply posted to collect data. I’m actively looking to acquire a business and would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to approach this search in a more effective and innovative way. Any support or insights from those who’ve been through this process would be extremely helpful.

Everingham and Kerr is a pretty good broker in the Mid-Atlantic region. They do a good job pushing opportunities out via email if you are on their list.
