Looking to Connect with Former Plumbing Operators (trenchless experience a plus)

I’m currently working with the owner of a SF Bay Area plumbing company generating approximately $1.5M in EBITDA, with a meaningful portion of revenue coming from trenchless sewer work. The owner is not looking to sell today. Instead, we are exploring a structured growth strategy focused on targeted add-on acquisitions and operational expansion, with the objective of building the business to $3M–$5M+ EBITDA over the next few years before pursuing a strategic exit. As part of this effort, I’m interested in connecting with former plumbing operators who have successfully scaled and exited their businesses, particularly those with experience in trenchless, sewer, or underground infrastructure work. Specifically, I would value conversations with operators who have: • Built and scaled multi-location plumbing businesses • Completed acquisitions or integrations within the trades • Navigated a sale to private equity or a strategic buyer Depending on fit, there may also be an opportunity to become involved in a more formal capacity (e.g., strategic advisor / chairman-type role) with incentives aligned around value creation and exit outcomes. If you’ve operated in this space and would be open to a conversation or know of someone who might, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect. Happy to share additional context privately.
