Hi All,

We're looking at a few acquisitions in the US and are hoping to connect with some folks who write SBA paper. It would also be great to hear an experience share from folks that have gone through the SBA process on acquisitions (successful or not) to understand some of the considerations aside from what you can search online.

Primarily:
- timing of process relative to traditional commercial loans
- flexibility on structure
- post-close relationship
- ability to use for follow-on acquisitions

Thanks,
Sam

Hello Sam. I am more than happy to have a discussion. However, if you are out of Canada and looking to us SBA lending, then you would need a US partner that controls 51% of the business. I just want to be sure you are aware of that up front. You cannot qualify for an SBA 7A loan if you are not a US citizen or green card holder. Happy to discuss in more detail at redacted
