Looking to Enrich Business Data w/ Contact Info (Phone Numbers, Emails)

I’ve got a list of small businesses I’m researching, but I’m missing key contact details—things like owner names, emails, and phone numbers. In some cases, I know the owner but don’t have their contact info, and in others, I know the business name but need to find out who owns it.

I’m already using ZoomInfo for leads, but am looking for additional sources or strategies to fill in the gaps. Has anyone had success using other tools, public databases, or creative methods for this kind of data enrichment?

I've tested countless approaches over the years, and a waterfall method works best—starting with one data source, then systematically enriching it with others.

Ultimately, LinkedIn data is the gold standard since it's updated by the users themselves. I'd recommend taking your source list and using Proxycurl to enrich it—either directly in your CRM or before you import. Most major providers (Apollo, ZoomInfo) source their data wholesale from them, so this lets you go straight to the source.

Getting direct numbers (mobile, etc.) requires more layers in the waterfall. Since you already have ZoomInfo, you're getting the best mobile provider now (but their caps are frustrating). I'd also recommend adding an onshore call center for verification and appointment setting.

Happy to compare notes—DM me, and let's hop on a call.

Zoominfo, in my experience, is the single best source of contact data on individuals. I've also had some success with Rocket Reach, 6Sense, and Apollo.io. Otherwise, leadership/ownership of SMBs are usually on LinkedIn or on their company's website; this can inform the person you're looking for when you call the business's main phone number and talk to whoever answers the phone. If you can't dig up an individuals email, but have the pattern of how emails are structured at that company (example: redacted then you can make a best guess on the contact's email
