Craig, good timing on this. A few things worth knowing from working with small deal teams on AI rollouts: The biggest unlock isn't which tool you pick. It's building a system that runs on your workflow rather than forcing your team to adapt to someone else's. For a 4-person intermediary shop, the highest-leverage area is the relationship and communication layer: keeping your pipeline warm, making sure follow-ups happen without anyone having to remember to do them, and cutting the time it takes to produce deal documents, CIM summaries, and client communications. The CRM question is worth thinking through carefully before you commit. Most platforms are built for sales volume, not the kind of high-touch, long-cycle relationship work that M&A intermediaries actually do. The ones that work well for teams like yours are purpose-built around how your people actually manage relationships and deals. Not retrofitted sales pipelines.
