McKenzie Securities has been mandated by our client, Project Jet, a market-leading specialized, commercial printing business in the Southeast US, to solicit offers for a 100% equity sale of the firm. We believe that Project Jet may be a good fit for a Search Fund or Independent Sponsor as a potential investment, given the competitive advantages (moat), high margins & favorable tax treatment of the Company. Project Jet has a strong 30-year track record and a 3-year blended revenue of close to ~$5.0 million and blended adjusted EBITDA of ~$1.4 million (~31% margins). TTM was over $5.0 million in sales and over $2.3 million in EBITDA. Project Jet may be characterized as: • A market leader in highly customized printing for a loyal customer base; • A beneficiary of favorable tax treatment and low operating costs (i.e. labor & rent); • A strong participant in a growing industry with limited direct competition in the local and adjacent markets; and • A stable & leverageable platform with ample growth opportunities both locally and abroad The Company and its owner(s) are seeking a full divestiture to a financial sponsor or strategic buyer that can help bring the Company to the next level.
