About the role Directions USA is a talent management and modeling agency actively pursuing strategic acquisitions in the talent management and creator economy space. We are looking for a motivated intern to support our deal sourcing pipeline — identifying, researching, and initiating outreach to acquisition targets that fit our investment criteria. This is a hands-on role with real exposure to M&A deal flow and business development at a growing agency. -------What you'll do 1. Research and build a database of acquisition targets including modeling agencies, talent management firms, and tech & service companies serving the creator economy 2. Evaluate targets against our acquisition criteria ("buy box") — size, geography, niche, revenue profile, and strategic fit 3. Conduct initial outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to gauge owner interest in a potential exit or partnership 4. Maintain and update a structured CRM or tracking spreadsheet with target details, outreach status, and follow-up cadence 5. Summarize findings and present a weekly pipeline report to the leadership team 6.Assist with preliminary company research and competitive landscape analysis ------Target company categories - Modeling agencies (boutique to mid-size) across fashion, commercial, and influencer talent - Talent management companies representing digital creators and social media personalities - Platforms and SaaS tools serving agencies, talent, or brands in the creator economy - Casting, booking, and production service companies - Influencer marketing agencies and brand partnership facilitators ------What we're looking for - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in business, finance, marketing, communications, or a related field - Strong research skills — comfortable digging through LinkedIn, trade publications, databases, and company websites - Clear and professional written communication for cold outreach - Highly organized with the ability to manage a large list of targets and follow-ups - Genuine interest in talent management, media, or the creator economy - Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision ---------What you'll gain Firsthand experience in M&A deal sourcing and acquisition strategy at an active buyer.
