Worked recently with an operations & business-focused searcher who had initially dismissed the idea of acquiring a niche manufacturing company - but was interested in how unsexy it is, the good margins, and high barrier to entry that they often provide.
We found that the combination of a business/finance searcher and an engineering/manufacturing background searcher was a great strength multiplier and a vital part of the due diligence for these kinds of companies, helping expedite the go/no-go decision.
Is anyone else looking at manufacturing companies (Aerospace, Health, Consumer goods) as part of their search who want a second pair of eyes to make sure they haven’t missed anything on engineering processes and operations?
I’ve got experience in advanced design and manufacturing (composites, electronics, PCB, engineering analysis) for aerospace, and a partner with 25+ years experience in healthcare manufacturing and consumer goods & packaging.
Wondering if this would be helpful for some of your searches. Thanks.
