This Company is a precision metal spinning and light fabrication manufacturer with more than 50 years of operating history, taking custom parts from concept to finished goods under one roof. Roughly 90% of sales come from spun sheet-metal components such as shades, housings, cups, bowls and domes in steel, brass, copper, aluminum and stainless, supported by stamping, an in-house tool and die room, CNC plasma cutting, welding and powder coating. More than 180 customers are anchored by design-driven lighting brands, with additional industrial and aerospace work, and loyalty runs deep: 24 accounts have been buying for over 10 years and 9 for over 20 years. Nearly all work is repeat production from existing tooling, and a growing online catalog of standard parts now contributes more than 15% of sales through prepaid orders that ship within a week, while the Company website brings in new RFQs every week and is supported by a Facebook business page. The equipment base is extensive and paid in full, with a Seller-estimated value of approximately $304,000 before the spin-tool and die library, and the current crew can support about one-third more volume without major capital spending. Trailing twelve-month revenue is up nearly 4% on new and expanding accounts, with roughly four weeks of confirmed backlog, and the owner has never had a dedicated sales effort in place, leaving clear upside for a new owner.
After more than 30 years of ownership, the Seller is ready to semi-retire, travel and consult part time, and so he is looking for the right buyer to take what he has built and to grow it to the next level. Confidentiality is a concern for the Seller as he seeks just the right buyer, and so the location information provided in the ad is that of the broker, and not of the Business. Business location and name will be shared once a qualified Buyer prospect is vetted.
NDA is required to receive comprehensive Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) crafted by ProNova Partners.
Detailed Information
Facilities: Approx. 5,900 sf secured production facility made up of a roughly 4,700 sf main building and a 1,200 sf insulated, air-conditioned annex, with 800 amps of three-phase power and a walled, gated yard. The property is owned by the Seller and rented at approx. $4,500 per month plus property taxes on a month-to-month, transferable basis.
A new lease can be negotiated, and the Seller is also open to discussing a separate sale of the real estate.
Competition: There are a number of local shops in the area that handle nearby work largely because of their location, and overseas imports remain an alternative for some buyers, with longer lead times, minimum order quantities and tariff exposure. The Company consistently beats local competitors on price and turnaround, and most of its customers, including its largest account, are located out of state.
It stands out with in-house tooling, a deep stock of metals and gauges, lead times measured in weeks rather than months, and the ability to deliver finished, coated parts, advantages that are becoming more valuable as tariffs push buyers back to domestic suppliers.
Growth & Expansion: Today the owner handles all quoting and prospecting part time, with no outside sales reps or paid marketing. A new owner can add structured outreach for repeat manufacturing programs, grow the online catalog toward the Seller's target of 25% of sales, train additional spinners and add a fifth production day to the current four-day week, expand further into aerospace, defense and industrial work, and sell more welding, powder coating and assembly as complete finished-goods packages. A buyer already in metal forming or fabrication has an excellent opportunity to combine capabilities and customers to grow both top line and bottom-line earnings.
Financing: Seller financing may be considered if the price and deal structure are right. Offers are for the operating business on a cash-free, debt-free basis, and inventory is purchased in addition at a negotiated value.
Support & Training: The Seller will provide 8 weeks of training at approximately 40 hours per week, with specific terms negotiable, and is open to part-time consulting afterward to support tooling, quoting and key accounts. The Seller wishes to facilitate a successful and smooth transfer of the Business.
Reason for Selling: Retirement.
