Mid-Career Sponsored Search Funds

Hi All,

I've been running into some walls trying to raise search capital from institutional investors (1 commitment and countless rejections). Maybe it's because I'm later in my career (7 years out of non-Ivy League B-School - maybe it's just me). But I'd like to also explore the Single Sponsor model as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which companies/investors offer this type of program?

Thanks in advance.

What are the reasons for them saying no? It’s probably pretty clear to them but they are likely not being up front with you: deck/PPM is bad, vision is unclear, your background isn’t a fit, you don’t interview well, you have a personality that turns them off, or you’re talking to the wrong investors (only invest in MBAs), etc. I’m happy to have a call with you and give you direct feedback, PM me. I was told in 2017 to ‘go get an MBA’, traditional investors were stuck in their lane, but there’s been lots of change in the community.
