Hi All- Software acquisitions have become increasingly common among Search Fund entrepreneurs, and many of them have a value-creation thesis around transitioning a company from on-premise to SaaS technology. If you're considering running or investing in such a business, I'd humbly suggest that you read this blog post first!

Navigating the transition from on-premise to SaaS was perhaps the hardest thing that I had to do as the CEO of my own software business, and I still have the scars to prove it. No wonder it's referred to as the "valley of death"!
