Navigating the transition from on-premise to SaaS was perhaps the hardest thing that I had to do as the CEO of my own software business, and I still have the scars to prove it. No wonder it's referred to as the "valley of death"!
In this blog post, I lean on my first-hand experience in making this transition to describe some of the factors that make it so difficult.
