I'm looking at a proprietary bolt-on acquisition of a niche professional services firm for my current business. Directly sourced without a broker. The business is founder-led at retirement age, no successors, 3 employees, some hair on the deal of customer concentration, seller dependency. It's an extension of our core business though that I've wanted to get into since our current customers often ask if we offer the service. I would have to hire someone to replace the seller, but I could do it for a short time to learn the work. Size is ~$750k revenue and $200-$250k SDE. Likely could hire someone $100-120k to replace sellers work. Any suggestions on what something like this should trade for? 1x SDE w/ 50% seller note?
