Hoping to hear from somebody who has experience or has successfully obtained an SBA as a resident/non-resident alien. In speaking with different lenders, they are aware of the possibility but have never seen it executed.

According to the SBA SOP (Standard Operating Procedures###-###-#### K), Chapter 2, Section B, subsection 3, "Legal Alien Status", it states that:
"An applicant who is not a U.S. citizen or Resident Alien may be eligible for an SBA-guaranteed loan if the individual is a lawfully-admitted permanent resident of the United States, and it can be demonstrated that the individual is authorized to work in the United States as evidenced by the USCIS Form I-551 (Lawful Permanent Resident Card), and is otherwise eligible under the provisions of this SOP.
An applicant who is not a U.S. citizen or Resident Alien may also be eligible for an SBA-guaranteed loan if the individual is in the United States on a valid visa and otherwise eligible under the provisions of this SOP. Visas eligible for SBA loan purposes are the E-2 Treaty Investor Visa and the E-1 Treaty Trader Visa."

If you are a citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident, then you are eligible. If you have a work visa, you are not eligible for SBA financing. You must be a Legal Permanent Resident. You are also quoting an old SOP, the current version is###-###-#### , and the visas are no longer eligible. I am happy to discuss this with you as well###-###-#### or redacted
