Opening a U.S. Business Bank Account Remotely (Foreign-Owned LLCs)

Has anyone successfully opened a U.S. business bank account for an LLC remotely as a non-resident - with a traditional bank (not a fintech platform)? If so, which banks worked for you and what made the process smoother? Curious what’s actually possible in practice (beyond what the websites say) and which contacts or documents helped get it done.

Thanks for the tag, ^redacted‌. The only time I have seen this successfully done, other than having a US resident join the LLC and specifically designated as an Authorized Member for purposes of a US bank account, is where you have a foreign bank with a licensed US satellite branch, and can handle depositary accounts in both countries. I have seen those situations in selected banks, depending upon where our client was doing business from. If you would like any help looking at the LLC issues, or finding a potential bank that might be able to help you, feel free to DM me here.

I can't speak to the foreign element, but having done a new LLC checking account with US Bank as an established customer, it took about 3-4 days to get through the process. US Bank's workflow is digital, including corporate entity documents, EIN, personal identity verification, etc. You'll likely need to have a registered agent, which you probably already have as part of your LLC. It was very similar to when we established a UK entity as a non-resident.
