Position Summary We are acquiring an established ~$12M dual-engine business in metro Atlanta, a local gold-buying/pawn operation and an authenticated luxury-handbag ecommerce business, and hiring the operator who will run it day to day. This is a hands-on operating partner seat, not a holding-company role: you'll own cash, pricing, licensing, and people across both engines. Primary Responsibilities • Run the full operation across both business lines: gold/pawn buying and an owned-site luxury resale operation (handbag buying, authentication, listing, and fulfillment). • Own weekly cash, inventory, and margin discipline; hold the line on buy/lending standards (gold buy limits, pawn loan-to-value, resale advance rates). • Get licensed as required for precious-metals and pawn operations, and keep all buying staff licensed and compliant (including AML/BSA). • Write and implement missing SOPs for cash handling, dual control, buy authority, and opening/closing procedures. • Manage and retain the existing ~15-person team through the ownership transition before making organizational changes. • Oversee the paid-media/catalog advertising program that drives the resale business; evaluate new channels without disrupting what's working. • Lead the transition of the licensed operation into a compliant, pawn-zoned storefront. • Report performance, risks, and recommendations to ownership; grow the business once it's stable. Qualifications VETERANS PREFERRED • Has run, or served as second-in-command of, a cash-intensive, inventory-heavy, or regulated retail business (pawn, jewelry, luxury resale, or similar). • Comfortable managing two distinct operating models at once — a walk-in cash counter and a digital ecommerce/paid-media business. • Willing to relocate to Atlanta and work on-site, six days a week. • Track record installing SOPs and controls in a fast-growing business that has outrun its process. • Understands cash/inventory risk management (e.g., market-price exposure, holding-period risk) as a core part of the job, not an afterthought. • Wants an equity/ownership stake and is building a company, not taking a short-term assignment.
