Landscaping & Facility Services Platform

We are looking for a hands-on operator to join as Operating Partner & COO of a platform consolidating owner-operated businesses in the landscaping and facility services industry across New England and the Mid-Atlantic (Rhode Island to Maryland).
We already have one acquisition completed, with a second closing in a few weeks, and are targeting businesses generally in the $500K to $2M EBITDA range as we build toward $10M in EBITDA in the near term. This is a field-forward role — with our next acquisition in Maryland closing soon, expect to be on-site there 4 to 5 days a week for the first 3 to 6 months, tapering to a more balanced travel schedule across New England and Mid-Atlantic as the platform grows. The CEO leads platform strategy, M&A origination, deal structuring, and capital allocation. The incoming Operating Partner & COO will take full ownership of everything on the operating side: post-close integration, day-to-day P&L across all operating companies, systems and infrastructure buildout, and building the leadership bench the platform needs to keep scaling.
The right person will be comfortable getting hands-on early — working directly with exiting founders through the ownership transition, standing up centralized systems and reporting, and overseeing site General Managers and Operations Managers across a geographically distributed footprint. This includes owning sales and marketing strategy and talent across the platform, diversifying revenue, and reducing customer concentration as the business scales.
We are particularly interested in operating executives from private equity-backed platforms with direct acquisition-integration experience, experienced searchers who have bought and operated a business, or existing landscaping/facility services owners ready to step out of single-site ownership and help build something larger. An entrepreneurial mindset matters most — comfort operating with ambiguity and building the playbook rather than inheriting one.
This opportunity is structured for a true partner, not an employee. The successful candidate will receive equity in the platform, giving them a direct stake in the upside as we reach our scale targets, alongside a base salary and a performance-based bonus tied to platform revenue and EBITDA growth.
