Most acquisitions begin with a single conversation with a business owner. As a sourcing intern, you will be the one starting those conversations. Deal Sourcing Internship. For Undergraduate Candidates We are looking for undergraduate interns to join our deal sourcing team. Your main focus will be cold calling owners of small businesses to find potential acquisition opportunities. This is an unpaid internship built to give undergraduates real experience in private equity and entrepreneurship through acquisition. Responsibilities - Make a high volume of cold calls to business owners each week. - Introduce Everoak and gauge owner interest in a sale or succession plan. - Qualify leads based on business size, industry, and owner goals. - Book follow-up calls between interested owners and the Everoak team. - Build and maintain target lists using online databases and research. - Send follow-up emails and letters after calls. - Log all calls, notes, and next steps in our CRM. What We’re Looking For - Comfort on the phone and the confidence to talk with business owners. - Resilience. You will hear “no” often and keep going. - Availability for at least 20 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. - Strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic. - Clear communication and good listening skills. - Interest in private equity, evergreen funds, or entrepreneurship. - Sales or customer-facing experience is a plus but not required.
