Join a hands-on investing effort led by a search fund principal. This is an opportunity for a current MBA student or recent MBA grad to gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle — from market thesis development and deal sourcing to financial modeling and investor communications — in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Build robust 3-statement models and LBOs
- Run sensitivity and scenario analyses
- Support valuation via comparable companies, precedent transactions, and DCF
Market Research & Segmentation
- Conduct TAM/SAM/SOM sizing using both top-down and bottom-up approaches
- Identify attractive subsectors and acquisition targets
- Build competitive landscapes, segmentation maps, and white space analyses
Investment Materials
- Draft teasers, CIMs, and investment memos for investors
- Prepare polished pitch decks and internal IC presentations
- Help shape the deal narrative for equity providers
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program (or recently graduated)
- 2–4 years pre-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate strategy
- Strong financial modeling and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint); familiar with CapIQ, PitchBook, or similar
